TechFlow reports, according to Protos, that a 19-year-old cryptocurrency trader, "ZK," was attacked in a parking lot during an offline transaction intended to exchange 32,000 Singapore dollars (approximately $24,000) for USDT. As reported by Mothership, the incident occurred on August 29 when ZK arranged the deal with the seller via Telegram. The meeting was originally set at a public mall, but the seller changed the location last minute to a nearby parking lot. During the transaction, two men described as appearing like "ordinary passersby" approached; one suddenly struck ZK in the left face. Fearing theft of his cash, ZK immediately fled to the nearby mall and shouted for help. The attackers failed to catch him, and ZK subsequently filed a police report. Singapore authorities have arrested two suspects aged 20 and 21 on suspicion of attempted robbery. ZK stated he contacted the seller through Telegram and, despite having no prior transactions, chose an in-person exchange to avoid transaction fees.
