TechFlow News, September 4 — According to CoinDesk, Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox, revealed that India has become the largest source of content creators globally for the metaverse platform. India currently boasts over 66,000 creators, surpassing the United States with 59,989 and Brazil with 25,335.
Since announcing its strategic focus on the Indian market in December 2023, The Sandbox has doubled its user base in India to 350,000. Borget stated the company is targeting 1 million users within two years. This growth has been driven primarily by various bootcamps and educational initiatives conducted directly by The Sandbox or through its Indian joint venture, BharatBox.
