TechFlow reported that Gleb Kostarev, former Vice President and Regional Head at Binance and current CEO of Blum, said at Korea Blockchain Week that about half of the "tap-to-earn" gamers on Telegram are new to cryptocurrency.
Blum, a Telegram Mini App gaming and exchange platform operated by Kostarev, now has 50 million registered users, around 50% of whom had no prior exposure to Web3. He emphasized that these users are genuine and can be converted into active Web3 participants.
Kostarev believes education is key—simply bringing in large numbers of users isn't enough; they must be guided on how to use the technology safely and avoid scams. He also noted that Telegram could help improve access to decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, which are currently hindered by restrictive mobile app policies from Apple and Google.
