TechFlow news: At the 2024 Global Fintech Festival in Mumbai, India's private sector bank HDFC Bank announced new features for the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), aiming to enhance its customers' digital banking experience. These innovative features were developed in collaboration with fintech companies including Kreditpe, Tonetag, and Payu, targeting improved convenience, security, and accessibility of digital transactions.
The new features include: UPI Circle—delegated payments, personalized UPI experiences, and user-level programmable CBDC.
