TechFlow reports that DeFi analyst Ignas yesterday posted a tweet analyzing the characteristics and potential trends of South Korea's cryptocurrency market. Ignas pointed out that in each bull market cycle, a Korean token with a simple yet compelling narrative experiences significant gains—such as Icon (ICX) in 2018 and Terra (LUNA) in 2021. He suggests that the Story (IP blockchain) project could become the representative Korean project in this current bull market.
He believes the Story project is successfully building influence both within South Korea and internationally, similar to ICX and LUNA. Story combines AI and intellectual property (IP), aligning with the current AI boom—a narrative that resonates well in both Korean and English-speaking communities. Story has received support from Chris Dixon of a16z, akin to how LUNA previously gained backing from Novogratz.
Ignas emphasized that this is not sponsored content, and while he remains cautious about Story’s integration of AI, IP, and blockchain concepts, he observes that the project follows a pattern similar to previous bull markets. He also warned that he hopes Story does not meet the same fate as LUNA, which resulted in substantial losses for investors.
