TechFlow news — On August 28, according to official announcements, the casual game SnakeLite has secured millions of dollars in funding to officially enter the Web3 gaming space. The round was led by Ace Redpoint Ventures, with participation from prominent investors including One Piece Labs, Mirana Ventures, and Sky9 Capital. Since 2022, SnakeLite has ranked among the top ten on Google Play's overseas game charts for three consecutive years, surpassing 100 million cumulative downloads, with approximately 8 million daily active users.
In its transition to Web3, SnakeLite will launch a battle royale-style PvP mode on the TON blockchain and integrate mining functionality with Telegram, allowing players to earn tokens through simple gameplay interactions. The game plans to introduce new features such as customizable skins, team-based modes, and a Snake nurturing system. Currently, SnakeLite supports multiple public blockchains including TON, Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Sonic, and will prioritize developing a fully on-chain game in its next version.
