TechFlow reports that Stacks officials said this morning that current Stacks transaction processing times are around 10 minutes, severely limiting the development of its DeFi applications. The upcoming Nakamoto upgrade will completely transform this situation by significantly reducing block times, potentially revolutionizing the Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.
After the upgrade, user interactions with existing protocols will be shortened from minutes to seconds, greatly improving user experience, supporting high-volume use cases, and removing limitations on complex DeFi strategies.
For example, currently time-consuming operations such as minting liquid staking tokens, depositing into DeFi applications, and collateralized lending will become much faster. Stacks emphasized that the Nakamoto upgrade will facilitate rapid user interaction with DeFi applications, enable DeFi strategies requiring fast block confirmations, and attract more developers to build high-throughput applications on Bitcoin.
Previous report, Stacks released details of the Nakamoto upgrade: final code to be published on August 28, with sBTC launching four weeks after the upgrade.
