TechFlow reports that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared a series of views on social media today. Vitalik expressed strong support for brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, but warned about the privacy risks posed by proprietary BCI systems, calling for the development of open-source BCI.
He emphasized that the crypto community needs to take principled leadership in building anti-scam technologies, including on-device scanning and fine-grained user control over scanners.
Regarding cryptocurrency kidnapping, Vitalik recommended that wealthy crypto holders store their funds in multi-signature wallets where they themselves do not have direct access. Additionally, Vitalik voiced concern over Telegram's legal issues in Europe, stating that they could threaten the future of software and communication freedom. He urged the crypto community to pay attention to and address these challenges in order to protect user privacy and digital freedoms.
