TechFlow news — The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina announced the seizure of nearly $5 million worth of Tether (USDT) linked to a "pig-butchering" cryptocurrency investment scam money laundering case.
Prosecutor Michael Easley said they are working to recover funds lost by victims. In this case, criminals deceived victims into investing through fake romantic relationships and fraudulent trading platforms. The FBI successfully traced and seized part of the illicit funds.
