TechFlow reports that on August 22, on-chain investigator ZachXBT disclosed on his personal channel that McDonald's official Instagram account may have been hacked and used to promote a meme token named GRIMACE. The account claimed that GRIMACE was issued on the Solana blockchain, and its market cap surged to $25 million within 30 minutes before dropping to $4.9 million. Guillaume Huin, McDonald's Senior Marketing Director, had also posted related information from his X account, though the post has since been deleted.
