TechFlow reports that the Kaia DLT Foundation has announced the official launch of the Kaia mainnet on August 29, 2024. To ensure a smooth transition, the Kaia Foundation has released a series of key milestones:
-
Starting August 23, new staking will be disabled on the Finschia mainnet;
-
On August 26, chain parameters will be updated on both the Finschia and Klaytn mainnets;
-
On August 27, Finschia governance members will shut down their validator nodes and join the Kaia Governance Committee;
-
On August 28, the Finschia mainnet will undergo its final upgrade.
With the launch of the Kaia mainnet, Kaia Portal and Kaia Square will also be launched simultaneously, offering users features such as token swaps, airdrops, and staking.
Notably, starting August 29, all exchanges will cease deposit and withdrawal services for FNSA. FNSA holders should closely monitor exchange announcements and promptly transfer their assets to self-custody wallets. After the mainnet launch, KAIA tokens will begin trading, although KLAY may still be used as the ticker symbol in the short term, with exchanges gradually updating to KAIA.
Previous report: The Kaia project, formed by the merger of Finschia and Klaytn, launched its v1.0.0 testnet "Kairos".
