TechFlow reports that Aavegotchi has announced the upcoming launch of Geist (Gotchichain), a new L3 gaming chain developed by Pixelcraft Studios and built on Base, Arbitrum, and Alchemy. Geist is the first membership-based blockchain designed specifically for gaming, aiming to address widespread issues in the crypto gaming industry such as bot proliferation, inefficient reward distribution, and high player churn rates.
Key features of Geist include a chain-level membership program, the native NFT marketplace Aavegotchi Baazaar, deposit channels via partnerships with exchanges like Coinbase, a native on-chain random number generator, support for account abstraction, and gasless transactions.
The chain will serve as the on-chain home for the Aavegotchi ecosystem, prioritizing the deployment of games and dApps incorporating Aavegotchi elements. Aavegotchi NFT holders will be eligible to receive future invitation airdrops for Geist. Currently, users can apply for an invitation by submitting their email on the Geist website and minting the public edition Geist NFT on Base or Arbitrum Nova.
