TechFlow news — On August 15, according to The Block, Chainlink's Data Streams and VRF are now available on Base, Coinbase's incubated Layer 2 blockchain, following their launch Thursday morning. This marks the full Chainlink product suite being now accessible to Base developers.
Data Streams combines low-latency market data with automated execution, enabling high-throughput DeFi product development. Chainlink VRF, the most widely adopted random number generator in web3, has fulfilled over 21 million request transactions. Tom Vieira, Head of Product at Base, said that Base developers can now leverage Chainlink’s full suite—including Data Streams, VRF, CCIP, Functions, and price feeds—to build the next generation of on-chain applications.
