TechFlow news — Web3 racing game developer Autoverse Studios has announced an $8 million funding round to support the development of its social drag racing game, Auto Legends. The game aims to simulate the real-life journey of car enthusiasts, allowing players to become legends in the automotive world through racing, collecting, crew management, hosting events, offering customization services, manufacturing and selling parts, and running garages.
Auto Legends will be free-to-play on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, with optional Web3 features for a deeper experience.
The game is currently in closed alpha testing on the Epic Games Store. Led by former Cie Games founder Justin Choice, Autoverse Studios' team includes members from Cie Games, Glu Mobile, Riot Games, Xbox, EA, Ubisoft, and Scopely. The round was led by White Star Capital, with participation from multiple investment firms and prominent figures in the automotive industry. The company plans to showcase the game at the Las Vegas SEMA Show this November and will soon launch closed beta testing.
