TechFlow news — According to an official announcement, to further enhance Web3 wallet security, the OKX Web3 Wallet has upgraded its risk transaction interception strategy. The currently detectable and blockable risky transactions include:
1) Malicious authorization to an EOA (Externally Owned Account). DApp authorizations are typically granted to contract accounts, not EOAs.
2) Malicious modification of your account owner. Once signed, you will lose control over your account. This type of attack commonly occurs on public blockchains such as TRON and Solana that have an account owner design at the protocol level.
3) Malicious alteration of your transfer address. While a small number of DApp contracts may have design flaws, OKX Wallet can identify these risks.
4) Interception of transfers to similar addresses. In this attack method, attackers generate addresses highly similar to ones you recently used (with identical starting and ending characters), then send fake USDT in bulk to increase the likelihood that you might accidentally copy and use the attacker's address from your transaction history.
OKX Web3 Wallet advises users that if they encounter any risk interception alerts during blockchain transactions, they should proceed with caution. To access this feature immediately, users must upgrade their OKX app to version 6.74.0 or higher, or upgrade the OKX Web3 browser extension wallet to version 3.1.0 or higher.
