TechFlow reported on August 1, according to Decrypt, that Trump's Bitcoin-themed sneakers sold out quickly after launch and are now reselling for as high as $2,500 on eBay. The sneakers, officially named "Crypto President Trump - High Top - Bitcoin Orange," were priced at $499 on the official website.
The sneakers are being sold through a licensing agreement with CIC Ventures LLC. The website clarifies that the shoes were neither designed nor manufactured by Trump himself, but rather produced by 45Footwear LLC under license using Trump’s name and likeness. Only 1,000 pairs were released, with five randomly selected pairs to be personally signed by Trump. Marketing materials describe the sneakers as celebrating "the future of finance," particularly appealing to cryptocurrency enthusiasts and Trump supporters.
Previous report: Trump announced via a post on his social media platform Truth Social the release of limited-edition sneakers accepting Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency payments. Featuring the phrase "Trump, Crypto President" printed on the shoe, they are priced at $499, limited to three pairs per person, with only 1,000 pairs available in total.
