TechFlow news: Injective has announced that its mainnet Altaris upgrade is scheduled for this week. Initiated by the Injective Improvement Proposal IIP-420, the upgrade aims to comprehensively reshape the Injective ecosystem through multiple enhancements, including improved scalability, next-generation smart contract capabilities, and strengthened real-world asset (RWA) issuance.
The Altaris chain upgrade has already been successfully deployed on the testnet, with over 99% of $INJ stakers voting in support of the IIP-420 proposal. If approved, the upgrade will commence on August 1, 2024, Beijing time.
The Altaris upgrade will bring numerous new features and improvements to Injective, including optimized block validation and increased transaction throughput, an upgraded smart contract environment, integration of RWA oracles to expand tokenized asset capabilities, a universal burn auction mechanism, updated developer toolkits, enhanced performance and security of the Injective Bridge, and integration of IBC hooks and Packet Forwarding Middleware (PFM) to improve cross-chain interoperability.
