TechFlow reports, according to on-chain analyst Aunt AI, this morning the U.S. government transferred 29,800 BTC (worth approximately $2 billion) to a new address. These bitcoins were part of the 69,369 BTC seized from the Silk Road in November 2020. The transfer could be preparatory to a sale, or simply a routine fund movement—similar wallet transfers occurred on April 2, so further observation is needed.
After the transfer, the U.S. government still holds 183,439 BTC on-chain, with a total value reaching $12.3 billion. Additionally, it holds 50,524 ETH, worth approximately $165 million.
