TechFlow reported that the Casper blockchain has released an update on a security incident. A vulnerability was discovered on July 26, and it has now been confirmed that fewer than 15 accounts were affected. The Casper team has developed a patch and is currently testing it. To prevent further losses, the validator community has decided to pause consensus and block production.
The Casper network remains online, and consensus and validation will resume once the patch is released and verified. The Casper Association will conduct a full investigation and cooperate with relevant authorities to recover any unauthorized fund transfers.
