TechFlow news, on July 26, according to Protos, the release date for Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is September 29, not August 30 as previously rumored.
CZ was sentenced to four months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard Jones on April 30 and initially recommended for incarceration at Seatac prison. It was widely believed that if he began serving his sentence immediately, his release would fall on August 30. However, CZ's legal team successfully delayed his surrender until late May and secured a transfer to FCI Lompoc II, a low-security federal prison located north of Los Angeles.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons database, Changpeng Zhao is currently serving his sentence at FCI Lompoc II, and unless circumstances change, his official release date is set for September 29.
