TechFlow news: The decentralized exchange dYdX announced that the domain registrar for dydx.exchange (previously Squarespace) confirmed unauthorized access to dYdX Trading's Squarespace account on July 23, resulting from a successful social engineering attack against Squarespace customer support.
During the approximately two-hour period when the dydx.exchange domain was hijacked, two users lost a total of about $31,000.
dYdX Trading has contacted these users and will ensure they are fully reimbursed. After securing the domain again, dYdX has implemented additional safeguards to prevent such incidents in the future, including migrating the domain to Cloudflare.
