TechFlow reports that the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill introduced by Republican Representative Zach Nunn to establish a cryptocurrency anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering task force within the Treasury Department. Although the bill was unanimously approved by the House Financial Services Committee, it lacks a corresponding Senate bill and therefore has a low chance of becoming law.
Meanwhile, the cryptocurrency industry is actively seeking support from Vice President Kamala Harris. The Digital Chamber has sent an open letter to Harris urging Democrats to include pro-cryptocurrency positions in their party platform and to select a running mate who is supportive of cryptocurrency technology.
