TechFlow News, July 18 — The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) today announced the list of participants in its stablecoin issuer sandbox. The following institutions will participate in the sandbox with immediate effect:
Jingdong Bichain Technology (Hong Kong) Limited, Oval Innovation Technology Limited, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Onay Group Limited, and Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited.
These institutions have demonstrated genuine intent and sound plans to develop stablecoin issuance operations in Hong Kong during the assessment process, and will conduct their proposed activities within the sandbox under a risk-controlled environment.
