TechFlow news — On July 19, OKX Ventures announced a strategic investment in zkLink. zkLink's zkLink Nova is a multi-chain aggregated Layer 3 network built on zero-knowledge proof technology. Leveraging zkLink’s proprietary multi-chain ZK-Rollup architecture, it aggregates fragmented liquidity across multiple Layer 1 blockchains and Layer 2 rollup networks, providing developers with a unified access point. Since 2021, zkLink has evolved into an aggregation infrastructure spanning various L1s and Ethereum L2s, offering asset, liquidity, and application interoperability through two core solutions: zkLink Nova and zkLink X. Both utilize zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology to provide developers with a general-purpose smart contract platform and customized high-performance specialized solutions, respectively. According to the latest data from its official website, the general-purpose aggregated Layer 3 zkLink Nova mainnet has surpassed one million unique wallet addresses, and its total value locked (TVL) reached $1 billion within two months.
Dora Yue, founder of OKX Ventures, said: “With the Ethereum 2.0 upgrade, ZK Rollups and Optimistic Rollups have become dominant scaling solutions, driving rapid growth—Arbitrum One being the most representative, ranking first in TVL at $16 billion, accounting for 41%. However, the proliferation of Layer 2 networks has also brought challenges of liquidity fragmentation and interoperability. zkLink’s multi-chain aggregation layer significantly enhances capital efficiency and utilization. The launch of zkLink Nova in March has enabled innovative DeFi applications such as one-stop aggregated lending markets, aggregated AMMs, multi-chain derivatives, and NFT trading platforms. We are thrilled to see zkLink Nova’s ecosystem rapidly grow into the largest Layer 3 network in the current Ethereum ecosystem, already partnering with eight L2s and major liquidity hubs. OKX Ventures remains highly confident in liquidity aggregation layer protocols represented by zkLink, which continue enhancing Web3 infrastructure in preparation for supporting millions of users.”
