TechFlow reported on July 17, according to News.bitcoin, that Zimbabwean mining company Kuvimba Mining House has launched a blockchain-based gold tracking system. This system ensures full traceability of all gold produced by Kuvimba from the mine to international markets.
As Zimbabwe's largest gold producer, Kuvimba emphasizes transparency, legality, and responsible mining practices. The Comstack system leverages blockchain technology to enhance traceability and comply with international standards. It is currently operational at the Freda Rebecca and Jenna mines, with plans to expand to other mines as production scales up.
