TechFlow reports, citing on-chain investigator ZachXBT, that ransomware group BlackSuit received over $25 million in Bitcoin ransom payments from the June attack on CDK Global. The attack impacted approximately 15,000 U.S. automotive dealerships. While CDK Global has not confirmed paying the ransom, its customers have largely resumed online services. Chainalysis noted that ransomware-related cryptocurrency payments exceeded $1 billion in 2023.
