TechFlow News: In his first statement after the attack, Trump thanked the U.S. Secret Service for their protection and expressed condolences to the families of the audience members affected. He said: "I want to thank the United States Secret Service and all law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly to the shooting incident that just occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the person killed at the rally, as well as to the family of another individual who was seriously injured. It is truly inconceivable that such an act could happen in our country."
Trump revealed that details about the shooter remain unclear and confirmed the shooter is dead. He described his injuries: "I was struck by a bullet that passed through the upper part of my right ear. I immediately knew something was wrong because I heard the whistling sound and gunfire, and I instantly felt the bullet tearing through my skin, followed by heavy bleeding—so I realized at that moment what had happened."
