TechFlow news, according to Jinshi Data, Federal Reserve Chair Powell said he has not seen any signs indicating a decline in President Biden's mental or cognitive abilities during phone calls or meetings with him. Powell stated their last conversation was over two years ago.
Representative Mike Lawler asked Powell whether there had been any private meetings with Biden since their public meeting in May 2022. Powell replied, "I haven't met with him. He hasn't indicated plans to meet with me, and of course, I don't have plans either." Powell noted that the Federal Reserve is an independent institution, and Biden has consistently respected that independence.
