TechFlow news: The OpenTensor Foundation announced it will restore the Bittensor blockchain to normal operation as soon as possible. Currently, the Bittensor blockchain is running in safe mode and protected by a firewall to ensure system security and integrity.
Under safe mode, all transactions are prohibited, including subnet and miner registration requests, so there is no risk of deregistration. Although the chain state is inaccessible, rewards for miners, validators, and subnet owners continue to accumulate.
The Foundation is actively addressing potential risks to ensure the network won't be compromised when resuming normal operations. Users' TAO funds are safe provided they have not used Bittensor CLI version 6.12.2. The Foundation team will prioritize protecting any potentially at-risk funds and will provide further details in tomorrow's community update.
