TechFlow news — On July 1, according to The Block, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced a five-year sponsorship deal with Real Bedford Football Club. The club is co-owned by prominent podcast host Peter McCormack, and the sponsorship payment will be made in bitcoin.
Previous report: In April this year, Winklevoss Capital invested $4.5 million into the club, making Gemini founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss co-owners of the team. Real Bedford has fully integrated bitcoin into its operations—players can be paid in bitcoin, and fans may purchase tickets and merchandise using bitcoin.
