TechFlow reports that Bitget will launch an anti-fraud public welfare campaign in Vietnam. The initiative aims to educate cryptocurrency enthusiasts on safe crypto usage and enhance risk awareness. Billboards will be displayed in public areas such as bus stops, subways, and streets to alert the public against fraud.
According to Chainalysis data, Vietnam ranks third globally in the Crypto Adoption Index. A report by payment platform Triple-A indicates that approximately 21.2% of Vietnam's population owns cryptocurrency, second only to the United Arab Emirates at 34.4%. However, a 2023 report from the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights states that the region suffers significantly from romance scams and illegal gambling fraud related to cryptocurrencies.
Bitget’s public welfare campaign aims to raise public awareness against fraud and provide clear, reliable guidance. The anti-fraud initiative covers common scam types including social engineering, romance scams, phishing, and investment fraud. The campaign is jointly supported by anti-fraud experts, law enforcement agencies, banks, and telecommunications providers.
