TechFlow reports that cross-chain interoperability platform Wormhole has announced the upcoming launch of Worldcoin's World ID on the Solana ecosystem, powered by Wormhole. Wormhole Labs has received funding from the Worldcoin Foundation to extend Worldcoin’s decentralized identity protocol, World ID, to Solana.
World ID uses biometric data and zero-knowledge proofs to securely verify identity. This integration will leverage Wormhole Queries to enable state bridging between Ethereum and Solana, ensuring that World ID state roots and inclusion proofs are verified and stored on Solana, allowing Solana-based protocols to seamlessly validate World IDs authenticated on Ethereum.
