TechFlow News — On June 25, Strike, a well-known Bitcoin payment app, announced the launch of its services for eligible customers in the UK. Users in the UK can now directly purchase Bitcoin with pounds deposited for free from their bank accounts, sell Bitcoin and withdraw funds back to their bank accounts, or transfer Bitcoin to self-custodial wallets. Additionally, Strike enables payments via Bitcoin or the Lightning Network.
Jack Mallers, Founder and CEO of Strike, stated that the UK's population of 67 million and its status as the world's sixth-largest economy present a "significant opportunity" for Bitcoin adoption. This UK launch marks another key step following Strike’s European rollout in April, expanding its availability to 100 countries and regions worldwide, including the United States, Latin America, and Africa.
