TechFlow news — StarkWare has announced the first phase of their Bitcoin initiative: Catnet. Catnet is a customized Bitcoin signet enabled with OP_CAT, designed for testing their implementation of the Circle STARK verifier on Bitcoin.
Now live, users can create wallets, claim some test Bitcoins, and develop Bitcoin scripts. The next step includes launching a $1 million OP_CAT Security Fund to accelerate all related research. Further details will be revealed in the coming days.
Previously on June 4, StarkWare announced it would launch a $1 million fund, expressing its belief that OP_CAT represents the safest path for Bitcoin scaling.
