TechFlow news, according to CNBC, Elon Musk withdrew his lawsuit against OpenAI and its two co-founders, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, in a California court on Tuesday.
Musk filed the lawsuit in February, accusing OpenAI, Altman, and Brockman of breaching contractual and fiduciary duties. A hearing was scheduled for Wednesday in San Francisco, where the judge would consider whether to dismiss the case as requested by the defendants.
In March, experts told CNBC that the legal basis of the case was problematic because the core contract at issue was not a formal written agreement signed by all relevant parties.
Musk claimed that the early OpenAI team aimed to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI) for the benefit of humanity, but the project has since transformed into a for-profit entity controlled by major shareholder Microsoft.
