TechFlow news: South Korea's Ministry of Justice announced the establishment of the "Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Decree on the Scope of Crimes Subject to Prosecutorial Investigation," bringing virtual asset-related crimes under prosecutors' direct investigative authority.
South Korean prosecutors will now directly investigate economic crimes including those related to the "Virtual Asset User Protection Act." The legislation, aimed at protecting virtual asset users, took effect on July 19. Violators may face imprisonment of one year or more, or fines.
