TechFlow news, according to data compiled by The Block Pro, 455,000 tokens were created on Solana in May, mostly Memecoins, with some success attributed to Pump.fun, which has driven the issuance of more tokens over the past few months. Solana has issued 1.1 million new tokens year-to-date.
In contrast, 177,000 tokens were created on Ethereum Layer 2 rollups, 39,000 on the BNB Chain. The Ethereum mainnet and Layer 2 networks Arbitrum and Optimism each saw fewer than 20,000 tokens created.
