TechFlow reported, according to The Block, that Taiko, an Ethereum-based rollup which began development in 2022 and went through seven testnets, has now launched on mainnet. Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, proposed the first block on the Taiko mainnet, whose metadata includes the names of every core contributor to Taiko.
Taiko also adopts a type-1 zero-knowledge virtual machine designed to emulate Ethereum's architecture and incorporates a multi-proof system. This system enhances security by allowing the submission and contestation of multiple types of proofs.
The Taiko token is expected to launch several weeks after the mainnet goes live. Additionally, Taiko plans to introduce an incentive points program called Trailblazers, aimed at driving community engagement by rewarding users for completing tasks and interacting with the network.
