TechFlow reports that Racer, co-founder of Web3 social network friend.tech, has expressed a desire to leave the Base network.
Racer wrote on X: "System design bounty: If you can find a way to migrate friend.tech off Base without significantly impacting users, and if the solution is good enough that we decide to adopt it, we will pay you $200,000."
According to Racer, the relationship between the friend.tech team and Base has been strained. He stated: "When we launched, investors in Farcaster misunderstood our approach, aggressively attacked us, and pressured their teams and users, causing our relationship to deteriorate ever since. We've been excluded from anything related to the 'Base community'."
In response, Jesse Pollak, who leads Base at Coinbase, said he regrets that the friend.tech team feels "isolated and disconnected," but respects their choice and is willing to support their decision. Pollak wrote: "If the team decides to leave Base, I’ll be sad, but I respect and support their choice."
