TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, U.S. prosecutors said former FTX executive Ryan Salame should be sentenced to between five and seven years in prison. In a sentencing memorandum filed Tuesday with a Manhattan federal court, federal prosecutors stated that Salame admitted to "serious offenses requiring a substantial sentence to ensure he is justly punished." His attorneys argued that his prison term should not exceed 18 months. Prosecutors wrote, "The campaign finance violations are among the largest in U.S. history, and the unlicensed money transfer business transacted over $1 billion without proper oversight." Salame will be sentenced on May 28. Other core members of the group opposing SBF—Caroline Ellison, Nishad Singh, and Gary Wang—have yet to be sentenced.
