TechFlow News — Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated in a social media post: "I'm not attacking Tether on the podcast... What I want to make clear is that I believe Tether plays an extremely important role in the ecosystem. My point is that the U.S. government has clearly indicated it wants greater control over issuers of dollar-backed stablecoins, and as the largest issuer, Tether has become a focus of their attention."
Previously, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said in an interview that Tether, the issuer of USDT, would be the next enforcement target for the U.S. government.
