TechFlow reports, LayerZero Labs has released a "Protocol RFP" proposal within the community as the first step in the TGE allocation process. This proposal allows projects to define their preferred distribution method for token allocations. When creating proposals, projects are encouraged to consider the following recommendations: rewards should be retroactive and based on actions prior to Snapshot #1. Token distributions do not need to be weighted solely on LayerZero messages.
In addition, the team suggests each project provide a developer address so that development teams can directly receive 10% of the allocation designated for developers from this RFP. Example project allocation: 50% to users of cross-chain OFTs, 20% to liquidity providers (LPs), 15% to token holders, and 15% to community members.
The LayerZero Foundation will cross-reference all addresses submitted by projects to the Protocol RFP forum against the final Sybil report. Such addresses will be automatically disqualified from allocation unless self-reported. Projects submitting addresses that did not perform any actions before Snapshot #1 will be placed on the RFP blacklist.
LayerZero stated that the Protocol RFP is only one aspect of the TGE, and further information regarding token allocation—including individual user allocations versus future protocol allocations—will be announced soon.
