TechFlow reported, according to Bitcoinist, that Harvest Global Investments, one of the first issuers of spot bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in Hong Kong, has confirmed plans to open these funds to mainland Chinese investors via the Stock Connect program.
Harvest's CEO Han Tongli discussed the possibility of including bitcoin and ether ETFs in the ETF Connect initiative during the Bitcoin Asia conference. ETF Connect is part of the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs launched in 2014, designed to link exchanges in Hong Kong with those on the Chinese mainland.
