TechFlow news, according to TheBlock, Neel Somani, founder and CEO of Eclipse—the first SVM Layer2 network on Ethereum—announced Thursday that he will temporarily step down from his duties at the Ethereum Layer 2 solution amid sexual harassment allegations. Despite facing multiple accusations, Somani maintains his innocence.
Somani said the decision was made to ensure fairness toward the Eclipse team, investors, and developer ecosystem. In a statement, Eclipse said it will share more information about senior leadership in the coming days. Somani pledged to “work hard to clear his name and defend himself,” while emphasizing that this transition of power will help bring the truth to light. Neither Somani nor Eclipse has responded to media requests for comment on the matter.
