TechFlow news, according to DL News, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is consulting industry players and experts on whether crypto assets should be included in investment products. This move could open a much broader market for cryptocurrencies, far exceeding the scale of spot Bitcoin ETFs.
The plan aims to expand the scope of UCITS (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities), which has a market size of 12 trillion euros. If implemented, this would be a key step toward mainstream adoption of crypto assets in Europe. Financial regulatory expert Sean Tuffy described it as having the potential to be a "game changer."
