TechFlow news, Ramon, Product Delivery Lead at Matter Labs, announced that zkSync will be upgraded on May 13. The upgrade mainly includes four items:
- P256Verify: This precompile enables signature verification on the secp256r1 elliptic curve and also adds ecAdd, ecMul, and ecPairing precompiles;
- Bridgehub: A foundational component unlocking interoperability across all ZK Stack chains, designed to enable seamless cross-chain transactions;
- Regarding ZK Stack, protocol work supporting Validium, custom DA layers, and custom base tokens has been completed. These features will become available for ZK Stack chains with upcoming server changes;
- Support for .transfer/.send calls without requiring gas, which can unlock ETH stuck in contracts deployed without following best coding practices.
