TechFlow reports that Udi Wertheimer, founder of Taproot Wizards, announced OP_CAT (BIP-420) will launch on Tuesday on Bitcoin's official testnet "Signet," with a mainnet launch expected later this year.
This will allow developers to build advanced OP_CAT applications and conduct real-time testing on the official test network.
Notably, Signet is the preferred testnet for Bitcoin developers, where blocks are generated every 10 minutes by Signet operators without requiring proof-of-work. This makes development more predictable and closer to the mainnet environment.
