TechFlow news — Asset management firm Franklin Templeton has announced that its $380 million tokenized money market fund has enabled peer-to-peer token transfers. The new feature enhances the utility of BENJI tokens—Franklin's on-chain U.S. government money fund—and increases connectivity with the digital asset ecosystem.
This initiative allows investors in the Franklin Onchain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX) to transfer BENJI tokens directly between each other without intermediaries. BENJI tokens, available on the Stellar (XLM) and Polygon (MATIC) blockchains, represent shares in a fund holding government securities, cash, and repurchase agreements, and provide token holders with stable returns.
