TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, Binance founder and former CEO CZ apologized in a letter submitted Tuesday to the judge overseeing the case for his "wrong decisions" and accepted "full responsibility" for his actions. He acknowledged there was no excuse for failing to establish necessary compliance controls at Binance and pledged this would be the only time he ever encounters the criminal justice system. CZ said he hopes to support biotech startups and young people in the future.
It is reported that in addition to CZ's letter, 161 letters of appeal have been submitted from his family members, friends, and others.
