TechFlow reported, according to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has discovered that a ransomware group named Akira has stolen $42 million from over 250 companies since 2023. The ransomware group has targeted businesses and critical infrastructure in North America, Europe, and Australia. The FBI, along with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Europol's European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), and the Netherlands National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-NL), issued a joint Cybersecurity Advisory (CSA) warning the public about this threat.
